Sample Data

The Process Master module ships with a built-in sample dataset that demonstrates a complete Low-E double silver coating line scenario. This allows you to explore all features immediately after installation without manual data entry.

What's Included

The sample data creates a complete, ready-to-use environment with the following components:

ComponentDetails
Coating Line"Demo Line A" — a simulated Low-E double silver sputtering line
Film Design12-layer double silver stack (N/K/C/A/C/N/K/N/C/A/C/N)
Targets12 physical positions using 10 unique target configurations
MaterialsSi, Zn:Al, NiCr, Ag targets with corresponding gas configurations
GasesAr (main gas), O₂ and N₂ (reactive gases)
Line Speed8 m/min
Measurement Positions33 positions across the glass width

How to Load the Sample Data

The sample data is automatically injected during the database migration process:

  1. Go to SettingsDatabase Management
  2. Click the Update Database button
  3. The migration system will automatically create all sample data entries
  4. Navigate to the Process Master module

Layer-Target Mapping

The sample demonstrates how design layers map to physical target positions:

LayerMaterialPositionPower
ProtectSiNxT145 kW
L1 (Seed)ZnAlOT220 kW
L2 (Barrier)NiCrT312 kW
L3 (Silver 1)AgT48 kW
L4 (Barrier)NiCrT512 kW
L5 (Middle)SiNxT650 kW
L6 (Middle)ZnAlOT725 kW
L7 (Isolation)SiNxT845 kW
L8 (Barrier)NiCrT914 kW
L9 (Silver 2)AgT1010 kW
L10 (Protect)NiCrT1112 kW
L11 (Top)SiNxT1245 kW

Positions T11 and T12 reuse the same target configurations as T3 (NiCr) and T1 (SiNx) respectively, demonstrating how a single target configuration can serve multiple physical positions.

Using the Sample Data

Once loaded, you can use the sample data to:

  1. Explore the Running Panel — View the coating line layout with all 12 target positions
  2. Load Running Configuration — Select "Demo Double Silver Running Config" to see the layer-target mapping
  3. Load Running Parameters — Select "Demo running at 8 m/min" to see the complete parameter snapshot
  4. Practice Reverse Engineering — Import test spectra and reverse-engineer layer thicknesses
  5. Practice Parameter Adjustment — Use the adjustment panel to simulate parameter optimization

Notes

  • All sample data entries are prefixed with DEMO_ in their identifiers, making them easy to distinguish from your production data.
  • The sample data will not overwrite any existing entries. If you have already created data with the same identifiers, the sample entries will be skipped.
  • The sample data references the built-in Double Silver Design template. Make sure this template exists in your material database (it is created during initial setup).
